My buddy Tom just installed a brand new kitchen and hardwood floors in his apartment. He even took down a few walls to give it that loft-like appearance, making his kitchen feel like a stage from the Cooking Channel; so it was a pleasant surprise when he invited me to cook the inaugural dinner in the new space.
We put a small group together of four gentlemen, including my father.
Tom picked up a pork loin and some veggies, my buddy John arrived with the wine and I brought some garden tomatoes, fresh figs and just-made pasta; we had all the ingredients needed for a quick weeknight dinner party.
